With all that’s swirling in the world, here are five things I came across recently that made me feel good. I hope they do the same for you…
01. Hugging
I have long admired the small space designs of Whitney Leigh Morris as she navigates how to live without breaking the planet. She practices what she preaches (isn’t it such a relief when people do as they say?).
She posted this little video of her child racing towards an unusual sign. As soon as I saw this I sent it to my friend who works at Parks Canada and told her to get all the trees in all the parks in all of Canada a sign like this.

02. Good Will Dunkin’
This Super Bowl ad made me laugh (and simultaneously feel old – but in a good, nostalgic way).
03. The world’s best travel photographs
I marvelled at these photos. That’s right. Marvelled. Check out ALL the winning photos here so you can marvel, too. These are my two favourite winning travel pics out of the bunch…

04. Winter can suck unless you are a dog that likes snow (a lot)
This clip just makes me happy. May we all love anything as much as this dog loves snow.
05. Stephen Colbert shares his unique insights on God
I heard actress Katherine LaNasa (The Pitt) explain how this conversation between Stephen Colbert and Anderson Cooper (CNN) helped her navigate cancer and other disasters during a dark time in her life before her recent success. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes we all lose. This perspective from Stephen is a comfort.

Bonus
There’s a reason Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast just won a Golden Globe. Rachel Dratch made me howl along with Amy in this clip. I have never seen anyone blame their failings on their astrological sign until now.
I love all of you bunnies in your bunny suits. Please be extra tender with all you encounter this week.
